The Inflammation Test measures and monitors inflammation, which is the pre-curser to most chronic illnesses; and, identifies/tracks the two most common chronic illnesses, diabetes and heart disease.
Clinical studies indicate that nearly all chronic illnesses (diabetes, heart disease, cancer, auto-immune diseases, etc.) start with chronic inflammation, and nearly all of these illnesses are preventable and reversible with changes in diet and lifestyle; however, very few people know what their inflammation levels are. By knowing your inflammation level, you will be inspired to make changes to your diet and lifestyle, and you can track your progress with this test. The test also monitors for diabetes and for your risk of heart disease and stroke.

About This Test
This test is crucial for all adult ages.
hsCRP
High-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP) is a marker of inflammation that predicts incident myocardial infarction, stroke, peripheral arterial disease, and sudden cardiac death among healthy individuals with no history of cardiovascular disease, and recurrent events and death in patients with acute or stable coronary syndromes. It is a non-specific, acute phase protein that the liver makes in response to inflammation in the body. It may become elevated due to certain chronic illnesses, medications, recent illnesses or when the body is fighting off an infection or inflammation due to excesses in diet and lifestyle.
A1c
A1c is an easy way to measure how well you have been maintaining your blood sugar levels for the past 90 days. It measures your average blood sugar levels over the past 3 months. This panel is used to diagnose prediabetes and diabetes and helps those with diabetes manage their condition.
HDL
An HDL Cholesterol test measures the amount of cholesterol found inside high-density lipoproteins (HDL) in the blood.
Cholesterol
A Cholesterol test measures the amount of cholesterol and certain fats in your blood.
Triglycerides
A Triglycerides test is a blood test that measures the amount of fat in your blood called triglycerides. High triglycerides may increase your risk for a heart attack or stroke. A triglycerides test can help you decide if you need to take action to lower your risk.
Cholesterol/HDL Ratio
To calculate your cholesterol ratio, we divide your total cholesterol number by your HDL cholesterol number.
LDL
The LDL test measures the amount of low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (bad cholesterol) in your blood.
LDL/HLD Ratio
The Lipid Panel with LDL/HDL ratio blood test measures total cholesterol in the blood. Low-density lipoprotein (LDL), which is considered “bad” cholesterol because it raises the risk of heart disease.
VLDL
The VLDL test measures the amount of very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) in your blood. VLDL cholesterol is a type of blood fat. It’s considered one of the “bad” forms of cholesterol, along with LDL cholesterol and triglycerides. This is because high levels cholesterol can clog your arteries and lead to a heart attack.
